What makes a great Bible teacher? (Hint: It's not perfect theology)
When you think of "teacher" and "student," your mind probably jumps to a childhood classroom. But what about your Sunday school teacher or small group leader? We often overlook church teachers because they're "just volunteers" or “not the Pastor.” Yet Jesus Himself chose to come as a Teacher. He had perfect theology (He wrote the Book!), but He also understood how people learn. The truth is, knowing the Bible inside and out isn't the most important qualification for teaching it. A great Bible teacher needs four things even more than flawless theological understanding: a consistent prayer life that invites the Holy Spirit, genuine love for people, a desire to keep learning and growing, and the humility to admit "I don't know." After all, even Satan knows Scripture, but only Spirit-filled teachers can make God's Word come alive.
